Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has been playing second fiddle to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi in recent years.

However, 2013 has witnessed Ronaldo catch up with the little Argentinian superstar. Ronaldo has scored a whopping 69 goals in 2013 and is poised to win the Ballon d’Or for the first time since 2008.
