Australian Open 2016: Djokovic Nails Federer To Qualify For Final

One game -- that's how long it took for all the buzz surrounding the 45th rendition of Federer-Djokovic to completely disappear. That's how ridiculously good No. 1 Novak Djokovic was from the start of his Australian Open semifinal match against No. 3 Roger Federer.

In the early going, Federer simply had no answers for Djokovic's overpowering groundstrokes, dropping the first two sets in less than an hour. Federer battled back to win the third set and get back into the match, but Djokovic dismissed that challenge. Eventually, Djokovic secured a 6-1, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 win, booking his spot in the finals -- his sixth appearance -- which will give him a chance to secure Grand Slam No. 11. Djokovic will battle either No. 2 Andy Murray or No. 13 Milos Raonic.

Australian Open 2016: Super Serena Defeats Radwanska To Head Into Final

Serena Williams didn't even give Agnieszka Radwanska a chance. In their semifinal match at the Australian Open, No. 1 Williams predictably jumped all over No. 4 Radwanska, winning the first set in 20 minutes. Forty-four minutes later, Williams was already walking to meet Radwanska at the net.

To put it simply, Serena was typical Serena in the semifinals. She was dominant, in total command, and breezed through the match, winning 6-0, 6-4. In the process, Serena racked up 42 winners while Radwanska landed just four. She also took advantage of her opportunities to break Radwanska, winning five of six break points.

Serena is one win away from acquiring her 22nd Grand Slam and her seventh Australian Open title. If the Australian Open wants a new champion, either No. 7 Angelique Kerber or Johanna Konta will have to slow down Serena.

British's number one Johanna Konta has moved beyond all odds to qualify for the semi-finals of the Australian opens. This progress may help push the young beautiful Briton up in the ATP ranking.

The unseeded 24-year-old won 6-4 6-1 to become the first British woman to reach a Grand Slam semi-final since Jo Durie made the US Open last four in 1983.

Konta, ranked 47th, will next face German seventh seed Angelique Kerber.
