Real Madrid defender Marcelo has defended Cristiano Ronaldo in the wake of Saturday's 0-0 draw against Malaga and has stressed that the Portugal international is not thinking about becoming the club's all-time top goalscorer.

Ronaldo is two goals away from overtaking Raul following his eight goals so far this season, but he has failed to find the net in five of Madrid's six Liga games in 2015-16.

He once more drew a blank against Malaga, despite notching up 14 attempts, but Marcelo feels it would be unfair to criticise the prolific attacker.

MANCHESTER CITY: Joe Hart Will Fight For NO.1 Spot

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is determined to keep fellow gloves man Willy Caballero on the bench.
Caballero was reunited with former Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini in July, with the City boss eager to provide direct competition for Hart in 2014-15.

Pellegrini made it clear Caballero would be in his plans after saying he has "two number one keepers" ahead of the FA Community Shield against Arsenal, which the Argentinean shot-stopper started at Wembley.

However, England number one Hart reclaimed his place in the starting XI as defending champions City opened the Premier League season with a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United on Sunday.

Nigeria international and Dynamo Kiev forward Brown Ideye was on target twice in his club’s 3-1 defeat of Spanish side Malaga in a club friendly played at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Dynamo Stadium.

His 62nd and 88th minute strike was enough to secure victory for the Bilo-Syni (White-Blues) against a dogged Malaga team paraded by manager Bernd Schuster.
