GOLD CUP: USA, Haiti Qualifies From Group A

Michael Bradley scored a second half equaliser as holders the United States came from behind to grab a 1-1 draw with Panama to maintain their unbeaten start to the Gold Cup here Monday.

US captain Bradley struck early in the second half to cancel out Blas Perez's opener for Panama as the Americans wrapped up their first phase campaign with a draw to finish top of Group A.

Jurgen Klinsmann's side will now face one of the two best third-placed teams in Saturday's quarterfinals in Baltimore. Panama, who had created the better chances throughout an even first half, took a deserved lead on 34 minutes through FC Dallas striker Perez.

USA 1 HAITI 0: Clint Dempsey Scores Again

Clint Dempsey continued his goal-scoring form as the United States prevailed 1-0 against Haiti in Foxborough on Friday. Dempsey bagged a brace in the USA's CONCACAF Gold Cup Group A opener on Tuesday, with his two goals lifting the host nation to a 2-1 win over Honduras.

The USA's second all-time leading scorer was at it again at Gillette Stadium, after his 47th-minute strike helped overcome a spirited Haiti outfit - and ensured the Americans will finish top of the group with a game to spare.

The Seattle Sounders forward was played in by second-half substitute Gyasi Zardes and made no mistake from near the penalty spot for his eighth career Gold Cup goal - moving him level alongside former international Brian McBride as USA's third highest scorer at CONCACAF's showpiece event.
