Gabon and Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has arrived Nigeria’s capital city Abuja in time for Thursday’s CAF Awards.
Aubameyang is among the three final nominees for CAF African Player of 2015, along with Manchester City star Yaya Toure and Ghana’s Andre Ayew.
He finished second to Yaya in the 2014 awards.
Renard, on the other hand, is favourite to win the CAF Coach of the Year after he guided Cote d’Ivoire to win the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea.
He also led Zambia to win the continent’s football showpiece event in 2012.
The other nominees in this category include Emanuel Amuneke, who led Nigeria to a fifth U17 World Cup in Chile in November; Patrice Carteron of TP Mazembe and Fawzi Benzarti from Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia.
The CAF Awards will start from 7pm local time on Thursday at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
