Enugu Rangers and Nigeria winger Ejike Uzoenyi has returned to his country after he could not secure a contract at any club in the Premier Soccer League in South Africa. Uzoenyi has been linked with SuperSport United, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns after he emerged as the Most Valuable Player at the 2014 African Nations Championship (Chan) in South Africa. The former Enyimba man has said that he is now back in Nigeria and will leave "negotiations with my manager to handle."
"I'm back in Nigeria now after holding talks with a club in South Africa. Nothing has been agreed upon yet but my manager will continue to discuss with them," Uzoenyi said. He preferred to hold back the identity of the club he held talks with.
