Xherdan Shaqiri Blasts Stefan Effenberg Over Criticisms

Xherdan Shaqiri has hit back at Stefan Effenberg after the former Germany international claimed the winger had been “badly advised” following his switch to Stoke City.

The Switzerland international joined Stoke in a club-record £12 million deal from Inter earlier this week - a move which, according to Effenberg, has been motivated by money.

But Shaqiri, who could make his debut against Tottenham on Saturday, insists he is not focusing on the former Bayer Munich midfielder’s criticism.

Pep Guardiola Okays His Critics

Lothar Matthaus said Jose Mourinho is a better coach than Pep Guardiola, but the Bayern Munich coach had no problem with that verdict.

Pep Guardiola is unperturbed by criticism from Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthaus and also has no problem with recent comments made by Stefan Effenberg.

Former Germany captain Matthaus stated that Jose Mourinho is the best coach in the world as he is more "transparent and direct" than Bayern boss Guardiola.

Guardiola Will Leave Bayern In 2016 - Stefan Effenberg

Earlier this week various reports have suggested that Guardiola has reached an agreement with Man City to coach the club in 2016. Bayern Munich has said its no big deal if Pep leaves.
