Mancini Praises Inter Milan After Win

Inter coach Roberto Mancini is adamant that his side fully deserved their desperately late 1-0 win over Atalanta on Sunday, declaring it a "wonderful" Serie A season opener.

An eighth-place finish last season ushered in a pre-season of upheaval, with the squad undergoing a significant overhaul in an attempt to make the club a force once again.

Inter dominated Sunday's clash from start to finish, though they initially struggled to make the most of their superiority.

Jovetic Scores First Goal For Inter Milan Against Athletic Bilbao

Stevan Jovetic marked his first start for Inter with his first goal as Roberto Mancini's side beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in a friendly on Saturday.

The former Manchester City striker opened his Inter account after 27 minutes in Parma after good work from Assane Gnoukouri, before strike partner Mauro Icardi wrapped up the win.

Having come on as a second-half substitute last weekend against Galatasaray, Jovetic was handed a place in the first XI at the Ennio Tardini and he wasted no time in showing his new employers what he can offer.
