SKRTEL: Liverpool Can Beat Arsenal

Martin Skrtel is confident that Liverpool can bounce back from their draw against West Brom to defeat league leaders Arsenal on Saturday. Brendan Rodgers’ men were left disappointed last time out after being forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with the Baggies despite dominating for the majority of proceedings.

The draw, coupled with Everton’s win over Aston Villa, means that fourth-placed Liverpool are now just one point clear of their Merseyside rivals and could lose their grip on the final Champions League spot if they don’t beat Arsenal.

However, Skrtel believes that the Reds will brush off the frustration of the West Brom result and show their true mettle against the Gunners.

Skrtel said: ”I am disappointed to be honest; we scored early and controlled the game but we only have a single point.

The Slovak added:  ”We made a mistake but this is football and this can obviously happen to any one of us. However, I am confident we can beat Arsenal because we definitely have the strength to do so.

“They are the leaders at the moment but we can give them a hard time. It won’t be an easy game but I am sure we can do something in front of our fans.”
