CAF Set To Help Nigeria And Others

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, supersport.com can report has promised to help the Super Eagles of Nigeria and other African countries representing the continent in the 2014 FIFA. World cup in Brazil .

CAF made the call after a meeting held last weekend in Cairo, Egypt, saying that it will make the CAF Centre of Excellence in Mbankomo, Cameroon, available to the continent's representatives to help with their preparations for the World Cup. Most notably Caf also said it will cover the cost of the teams’ stay while in the competition.

However, CAF's proposition may be a little too late as some of the teams have already chosen camps outside Africa. As we know the Super Eagles seem bound for Houston, Texas.

In related matters , a group of media experts selected by the CAF Media Director and Media Officers of the five qualified teams will be put in place to provide nonstop behind the scenes reporting for African football fans throughout the Diaspora.

After the meeting in Cairo, CAF launched the call for unity and support of the teams, whilst encouraging them on the need for adequate preparation to go farther in the competition as Africa has not gone beyond the quarter final stages since the inception of the World Cup in 1930
