It was a magnanimous Jose Mourinho that turned up to speak to ITV after Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday. Mourinho was far removed from the aggressor he had been during the pre-match press conference, when The Special One laid into Arsene Wenger.

In truth, Mourinho had little choice with his Chelsea side having been comfortably outplayed and failing to bag a shot on goal. Mourinho described his team as “poor” and refused to get in another war of words with Arsene Wenger or predict who would win in the mouth watering Champions League tie between Manchester City and Barcelona.
