It’s the unavoidable topic of the day: Jose Mourinho ripping Arsene Wenger to shreds, in a lethal attack, dubbing the Arsenal manager a specialist in failure, for his complete lack of silverware in 8 years. After the initial outrage and hysteria had died down, and in the cold light of day, some have taken to Mourinho’s defence, arguing that the outspoken Chelsea manager was merely speaking the truth.
The cold, harsh, callous truth. Of course, it should be no surprise that Wenger’s biggest critic and famous Gooner Pier Morgan was straight in there to defend Jose, going so far as to say that he’d love to see Mourinho manage Arsenal one day. See more tweets after the cut......
Aside from Piers, though, a number of Gooners swallowed their pride, stuck their heads above the parapet and admitted that much as it pained them to say it, Mourinho has a point.
