The signing of Cech by Arsenal is far from speculations its actually real. The implications it might have on Chelsea will be seen in few months to come.... Terry said he could save 15 points for Arsenal, Mourinho was reluctant to sell him to the reds and Harry thinks Cech has now made Wenger's side a serious title challenger.
Harry Redknapp says Arsenal's capture of Petr Cech will transform Arsene Wenger's side into genuine title contenders. The Gunners will complete an £11million swoop for the Chelsea goalkeeper by the end of the week.
And former Tottenham manager Redknapp says the transfer will prove pivotal next season.
He said: 'It's a great signing. I think it's a massive signing. To have top quality goalkeeper is massive.
'I think Arsenal could now be the biggest challengers to Chelsea next season, particularly with maybe two more signings.' Jose Mourinho was initially reluctant to let Cech move across London, knowing the keeper would significantly strengthen the Gunners.
Eventually, though, Blues owner Roman Abramovich granted Cech his wish of a move to the Emirates Stadium. And Redknapp has sympathy with Mourinho, saying: 'I can understand where Jose is coming from.
'But in the end they can't keep him there forever. Thibault Courtois, for me, is the best keeper in the league.'
