The 20-year-old forward has experienced a meteoric rise in the Arsenal first team, especially in the second part of the season, which has seen him start the Gunners’ last seven Premier League games, with two goals to his name.
The Iwobi goals came against Everton at Goodison Park on March 19 and against Watford at the Emirates on April 2, and it is the latter that has been nominated for the Arsenal ‘Goal of the Month’ for April.
However, he has six other scorers and 10 other goals to slug it out with in the month under review.
He recently signed a contract extension worth £30,000 a week with the club he has been with since the age of seven.
