Martial's Agent Blasts Arsene Wenger & Arsenal

Anthony Martial's agent has blasted Arsenal as a club who follow players but always fail to sign them, following Arsene Wenger's suggestion that the Gunners did not buy the youngster because he is more suited to a wide role.

The 19-year-old's deadline-day transfer to Old Trafford raised eyebrows throughout the footballing world as United agreed a deal that could rise to £58 million, making the former Monaco striker the most expensive teenager in football history.

However, the striker has immediately impressed scoring four goals in four games, netting against fierce rivals Liverpool before scoring a double at Southampton and grabbing a goal against Ipswich Town in the League Cup.

Manchester United 3-1 Liverpool: Martial Seals Big Win In Debut Match

Anthony Martial scored on his Manchester United debut as the Red Devils defeated fierce rivals Liverpool 3-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Daley Blind opened the scoring early in the second half and then saved his side at the other end with a tremendous goal-line clearance before Ander Herrera won and converted a penalty to put the hosts two up.

David de Gea, who signed a new contract this week, could do nothing to stop a stunning Christian Benteke overhead kick on his return to the starting line-up following the collapse of his move to Real Madrid before new signing Martial marked his debut by coming off the substitutes' bench to seal the points with an excellent solo goal.

People have compared him with Henry but the legend has come out to say Martial is a massive gamble. Considering the fee and statistics his another panic buy by Louis Van Gaal. Most United fans are fuming over the transfer.

Thierry Henry admits Manchester United have made a “massive gamble” by signing Anthony Martial. The 19-year-old has completed his move Old Trafford from Monaco in a deal worth up to €80 million (£59m).

Martial has been labelled as the next Henry but the former Arsenal striker insists United's latest recruit will need time to adapt.

Man United Complete Anthony Martial Deal From Monaco

Manchester United have announced the signing of Anthony Martial from Monaco. The 19-year-old was linked with Tottenham earlier this summer before penning a new contract at Stade Louis II but now becomes Louis van Gaal's sixth summer signing for a reported fee of £36 million (€50m).

Martial, who was handed his first senior call-up to the France squad this week, was given permission to leave the international camp and complete a move Monaco claim could eventually be worth £58.7m (€80m).

"I'm so excited to join United," said Martial upon signing a four-year contract with the option for a further year. "I've always wanted to play in the Premier League and I look forward to meeting my team-mates."

So even Wayne Rooney who Louis Van Gaal askes about team selection heard the news and looked around and said excuse me please who is.... Martial Anthony? Anthony Martial Jets To Manchester To Seal United Deal

Manchester United appear to be closing in on a deal for Monaco striker Anthony Martial after the French Football Federation confirmed the 19-year-old had left the national team in order to travel to England.

Signing a new striker is Louis van Gaal's top priority before the close of the English transfer window on Tuesday, with Javier Hernandez widely reported to be in advanced talks with Bayer Leverkusen.

And Martial, who scored nine goals in 35 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco last season and was linked with Tottenham this summer, has risen to the top of United's wishlist after Chelsea snatched unsettled Barcelona forward Pedro from Van Gaal's grasp earlier this month.
