Liverpool and Nigerian award wining striker Asisat Oshoala is set to move to Arsenal from Liverpool FC. The young Nigerian recently had a tough season after suffering injury setbacks.
The Gunners’ have activated a release clause in the 21-year-old’s contract and she will now discuss personal terms with the North London club.
Oshoala joined the club in 2015 and was named BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year in May last year.
Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala was on target in Liverpool Ladies’ 3-1 win at Arsenal Ladies in the Women’s Super League encounter played at the Meadow Park. Her beautiful finish not only guaranteed them the maximum points, but also ended Arsenal Ladies unbeaten run in the season.
Fara Williams opened the scoring with a stunning strike from 25-yards out before 41-year-old full-back Becky Easton bundled in a second for Liverpool.
