Javier Hernandez wants to feel valued at Bayer Leverkusen following his move from Manchester United. Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez says a desire to feel important was a primary factor in his deadline-day move from Manchester United.
The Mexico international saw his five-year spell at Old Trafford come to a close on Monday as he joined the Bundesliga side on a three-year deal having spent last season on loan at Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old did not appear to be an integral part of Louis van Gaal's plans and he told a news conference on Tuesday of his excitement at starting afresh with Leverkusen.

Bayern Leverkusen Sacks Liverpool Sami Hyypia
Bayern Leverkusen dismissed coach Sami Hyypia on Saturday, a day after the club slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Hamburg SV that left them with just one win from their last nine league games.
After a lot of thought and because of the ongoing crisis we reached the conclusion that a change at this point could help us turn things around urgently," Leverkusen CEO Michael Schade said in a statement.
The 40-year-old former Finland international, who took over at Leverkusen in 2012 is to be replaced until the end of the season by interim coach Sascha Lewandowski, with whom he had shared coaching duties in his first season in charge.

BAYER LEVERKUSEN 0 PSG 4: Ibrahimovic Hits Brace In Rout
Zlatan Ibrahimovic added another stunning goal to his collection as Paris St Germain needed just 45 minutes to all but book their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League by outclassing Bayer Leverkusen.
The Swede was quiet, even off-colour, until scoring twice in four minutes at the end of the first half, converting a controversial penalty and then smashing a left-footed shot from the edge of the area straight into the top corner. Blaise Matuidi earlier stunned the BayArena just three minutes into this first leg with the opening goal, and that set the tone for the match.
PSG had no need to get out of second gear against opponents who are no strangers to the latter stages of the Champions League but froze badly this time and appeared to accept their fate.
