Mainz haven’t lost any of their last seven home games vs. Stuttgart (W4, D3) – the 05ers only have a current better run of such against Frankfurt (8).

The last time Mainz were beaten by Stuttgart in front of their own fans was on 17th September 2005 – over 10 years ago. Christian Gentner started that game for VfB.

Mainz have picked up 11 points from their last five league matches (same as Gladbach) – only BVB can better this (12). Mainz have claimed as many points since matchday 11 as Stuttgart have all season.

VFB Stuttgart 1-1 Werder Bremen: Ujah Scores Equalizing Goal For Werderaner

Werder Bremen's Anthony Ujah was in fine form for his club as he hit the target to win a point in the 1-1 draw against Stuttgart. Ujah has now scored a total of seven goals for Bremen.

Nigeria striker Anthony Ujah scored his seventh goal of the season as his Werder Bremen side drew 1-1 away at VfB Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga on Sunday.

Ujah, who has not been in Sunday Oliseh’s plans for Nigeria in recent internationals, scored Werder Bremen’s equaliser in the 71st minute of the game to earn his side a share of the spoils at the Mercedes Benz Arena.

Anthony Ujah Scores For Werder Bremen Against Hoffenheim

Anthony Ujah scored for Werder Bremen in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Hoffenheim on match day of the 2015/16 Bundesliga season.

The attacker has been in brilliant form this season and again underlined his status as one of the most feared marksmen in the division.

Ujah netted in the second minute of added time to temporarily give his side a 2-1 lead at the Rhein-Necker Arena.

Javier Hernandez wants to feel valued at Bayer Leverkusen following his move from Manchester United. Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez says a desire to feel important was a primary factor in his deadline-day move from Manchester United.

The Mexico international saw his five-year spell at Old Trafford come to a close on Monday as he joined the Bundesliga side on a three-year deal having spent last season on loan at Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old did not appear to be an integral part of Louis van Gaal's plans and he told a news conference on Tuesday of his excitement at starting afresh with Leverkusen.

Chelsea's reject Kevin de Bruyne moved on to Wolfsburg to become the Bundesliga player of the year. Hot, gifted and talented Kevin has certainly given Mourinho a reason to ask himself if he was right to dispose the young Belgian who might come back to hunt him.Considering is big money move, Kevin is expected to help City win trophies this season. Just imagine him scoring against Chelsea.......

Another protracted summer transfer appears to have reached a conclusion on Wednesday night, as German news outlet Bild are reporting that Manchester City have agreed to sign Kevin De Bruyne from Wolfsburg for a fee of at least €80m.

Should the deal come to actualisation, De Bruyne will become the most expensive Belgium footballer of all time.

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola was "satisfied" with his side's display in a dramatic 2-1 win at Hoffenheim.

Pep Guardiola reflected on a "crazy" end to Bayern Munich's clash at Hoffenheim on Saturday after Robert Lewandowski's late strike secured a 2-1 victory.

Bayern were stunned when Kevin Volland capitalised on a mistake from David Alaba to score the joint-fastest goal in Bundesliga history after only nine seconds at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena, equalling the record set by Bayer Leverkusen's Karim Bellarabi a year ago on Sunday.

Borussia Dortmund's eye-catching win over Borussia Monchengladbach came as no surprise to Marco Reus.

Marco Reus was not surprised by Borussia Dortmund's dismantling of Borussia Monchengladbach in their Bundesliga opener on Saturday.

Thomas Tuchel celebrated his first league match in charge of Dortmund with a 4-0 rout at Signal Iduna Park, with former Gladbach star Reus, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and a Henrikh Mkhitaryan brace doing the damage.

Arjen Robben Urges Kevin De Bruyne To reject Man City

Arjen Robben says he hopes to see Kevin De Bruyne snubs Manchester City and stay at Wolfsburg.
The Belgium international has been the subject of a renewed transfer push from Manuel Pellegrini's side, who launched a £45 million (€63m) bid for the former Chelsea man at the end of last week.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest, though Wolfsburg boss Dieter Hecking remains confident the 24-year-old will stay.

And, far from hoping that one of his side's title rivals loses a star player, Robben says he wants to see De Bruyne resist any offers in order to keep the Bundesliga strong.

Balogun Happy With Victory Against Lazio


Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun, has described Mainz’s 3-0 win against SS Lazio in a pre-season game on Wednesday, as a good test for the team ahead of the new Bundesliga season.

Balogun who joined Mainz from newly promoted SV Darmstadt 98 this summer, was on from the start before making way for Henrique Sereno in the 77th minute.

Reacting to the win, Balogun, also praised his team for putting up a good display against the Serie A side.

Forget Arjen Robben, Marcos Reus, Thomas Muller and the other big manes in Bundesliga. Jose Mourinho's throw away Kevin de Bruyne is now the big deal in Germany has he has been voted as the player of the year in Germany. I wonder what Jose will say to this? My Chelsea reject now the best in Germany...

Kevin de Bruyne has beaten Arjen Robben and Manuel Neuer to the Player of the Year award in Germany by a massive margin. The Belgium international was the star of the league in 2014-15, guiding Wolfsburg to second place and success in the DFB-Pokal as they beat Borussia Dortmund in the final.

The Performances Will Come - Andre Schurrle

Striker Andre Schurrle is eagerly anticipating his first full season in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg.
Andre Schurrle is hopeful of becoming more influential at Wolfsburg, but remains wary of promising another Bundesliga title challenge next season.

The former Chelsea forward made the move to the Volkswagen Arena midway through 2014-15 having fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Germany international managed just one goal in 22 appearances in competitions as Wolfsburg's title hopes fell by the wayside - eventually finishing 10 points off top spot. Schurrle did help Wolfsburg win the DFB-Pokal, but stopped short of issuing another title challenge to Bayern Munich next season, telling Kicker: "That's not necessary, we just want to show that we are better than last season.

INJURY: Alaba Ruled Out For Seven Weeks

Bayern Munich's David Alaba faces up to seven weeks on the sidelines with knee ligament damage, the club have confirmed.

The versatile 22-year-old was substituted at half-time at the Ernst Happel Stadium, after hurting his left knee in a challenge with Hoffenheim's Ermin Bicakcic.Alaba spent more than two months on the sidelines earlier this season after partially tearing the medial ligament and damaging the meniscus in his right knee during Bayern's 2-0 win over Roma in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND: Bomb Discovered Near Signal Iduna Park

An unexploded bomb forced the relocation of Borussia Dortmund's news conference and Jurgen Klopp hopes to avoid any further surprises. Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp is hoping to avoid any nasty surprises when his side take on local rivals Schalke on Saturday, after an unexploded bomb was found near Signal Iduna Park on Thursday.

Klopp was forced to relocate his news conference to the club's training ground following the discovery of the explosive near the west stand of the ground. Dortmund host Schalke this weekend hoping to continue their run of three consecutive wins in the Bundesliga, which has seen them climb to 12th.

JUST IN: Roberto Di Matteo Is Schalkle's New Coach

FC Schalke 04 have parted ways with head coach Jens Keller and appointed Roberto Di Matteo as his successor.Keller took charge of first team affairs at the Royal Blues in December 2012 but has paid the price for the club's poor start to the season. Schalke have won just two of their first seven Bundesliga matches in 2014/15 to lie in 11th place in the standings, while they are also without a win in two UEFA Champions League outings and also crashed out of the DFB Cup in the first round.

Everyday Is Difficult - Pep Guardiola

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola says his side are still suffering from a World Cup hangover, despite making a strong start to the season. The defending German champions are unbeaten in the Bundesliga, having won four and drawn two of their matches so far.

Guardiola's men top the table and are already seven points ahead of regular title rivals Borussia Dortmund, but the Spaniard claims the campaign has been a struggle to this point.

HUNGRY BOY!!! I Want More Titles - Thomas Muller

Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has stated he is still hungry for more titles, despite admitting there is not much left for him to win. Muller's World Cup win with Germany in July added to an honours list that already includes the Champions League, three Bundesliga titles, the Club World Cup and Uefa Super Cup.

"There is not more much to win, that's already correct," he told Kicker.

"But anyway I cannot say I don't want to play more football. I love football. Of course there is only repetition, but that's why I cannot stop now."

Werder Bremen Calm After Upsetting Chelsea

Werder Bremen full-back Clemens Fritz believes the 3-0 win over Chelsea is evidence of the Bundesliga side's continuing improvement.

Fritz and his team-mates stunned Chelsea in Bremen on Sunday with Eljero Elia and Ludovic Obraniak scoring in the first half, before Felix Kroos added a third goal in the 89th minute.

The 2013-14 Bundesliga campaign was a tough one for Werder as they finished 12th, but they produced some strong results in the last few months of the season.
