BRIBERY ALLEGATION: Egypt Offered Ghana $1million To Qualify For 2014 World Cup In Brazil
Egypt allegedly offered Ghana $1million in bribes to qualify for the 2014 World Cup. A Ghana FA member has boldly remarked that Egypt tried to induce its President, Kwasi Nyantakyi with this ransom before the Black Stars faced the Pharaohs on November 19, 2013.
Kofi Manu, a known advocate for the FA on a radio show on Accra-based Asempa FM in a heated submission, called out the North African country as having attempted to buy their way to the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil by offering the Ghanaian federation the amount.
The Black Stars needed to be beaten by five unanswered goals in the second leg of the World Cup play off after taking a commanding lead in the first leg which they trashed the Pharaohs 6-1 in Kumasi.

FRAUD!!! Ghana's World Cup Commitee In $90,000 Food Inflation Mess
It’s another round of appalling headlines for the Ghanaian FA this Friday. On the same day as the Black Stars are said to have axed coach Kwesi Appiah following the country’s appalling showing at the World Cup this summer, fresh allegations of corruption have been levelled at officials over what happened in Brazil this summer.
This week Ghana have been holding hearings into the fiasco at the World Cup, and the Chief Executive Officer of Ambar Quality Foods Limited, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah, has accused the World Cup Committee of inflating costs of food for the tournament.

HUNGRY BOY!!! I Want More Titles - Thomas Muller
Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has stated he is still hungry for more titles, despite admitting there is not much left for him to win. Muller's World Cup win with Germany in July added to an honours list that already includes the Champions League, three Bundesliga titles, the Club World Cup and Uefa Super Cup.
"There is not more much to win, that's already correct," he told Kicker.
"But anyway I cannot say I don't want to play more football. I love football. Of course there is only repetition, but that's why I cannot stop now."

Let's Emulate The Brazil Greats - DUNGA
New Brazil coach Dunga has set his side the ambitious task of emulating the great national team of the 1970s. Dunga appointed as Luiz Felipe Scolari's successor last month – has been tasked with reviving the fortunes of a Brazil side in desperate need of a morale boost.
Hosts of this year's World Cup, Brazil were embarrassed in a humiliating 7-1 semi-final defeat to Germany.
The nation finished fourth and widespread disappointment followed their lacklustre exit, but Dunga – who named a new-look Brazil squad on Tuesday – is hoping to oversee a successful new era.
Brazil won every game they played at the 1970 World Cup to be crowned world champions for the third time in four tournaments.

GOOD DECISION! Victor Moses Set For Loan Move At Stoke City
I just knew Moses was going to leave the blues somehow as soon as Jose said they need to drop a foreign player. He wont be pleased to sell out in form Andy Schrelle but giving out Moses will really mean nothing to Mourinho. The move is good for the player whom many thought was going to complete an initial permanent deal to West Ham. A lack of regular game time ensured an under performance at the recently concluded World Cup in Brazil. According to reports, Chelsea winger Victor Moses, is set to travel to Stoke City to undergo a medical ahead of a season-long loan move.
The Nigeria international also spent last season on loan at Liverpool, where he did not get enough playing time. Moses is unlikely to command a regular shirt under Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, especially with Mohamed Salah, Andre Schurrle, Oscar and Eden Hazard in the team.

FIFA Investigating Concussions In Football
Football's governing body FIFA have launched an investigation into concussions in the game after a string of high-profile incidents.
The recent World Cup in Brazil was punctuated by a string of concussions, those suffered by Alvaro Pereira, Javier Mascherano and Christoph Kramer - the latter in the tournament's final - the most notable.
With no set guidelines in place, all three played on in their games, although Mascherano was the only one not to subsequently be forced off. That led to criticism of the game's governing body, who have now revealed measures are being taken to boost their understanding of such issues.

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari insists he will wait until after the World Cup before deciding his future. The World Cup hosts were humiliated 7-1 at the hands of Germany on Tuesday evening in Belo Horizonte, conceding five goals by half-time before Andre Schurrle struck twice to book their place in the final.
Brazil now face either Netherlands or Argentina in the third-place play-off on Saturday, and Scolari says he will discuss his future with the Brazilian Football Confederation after the tournament, as originally planned.
"After the World Cup we will make a presentation to the CBF, where we will talk about the good and the bad that we have done, and it will depend on the board."

WORLD CUP 2014: Don't Blame David Luiz Alone For Brazil's Defeat Says Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho says it would be unfair to single out David Luiz for blame after the most humiliating night in Brazil's footballing history.
Luiz was Brazil's stand-in captain for the World Cup semi-final against Germany with Thiago Silva suspended and was guilty of a poor display, finding himself at fault on a number of occasions as the Germans ran riot, winning 7-1.
However, Mourinho, who recently sold Luiz to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record £50 million for a defender, said many of his team-mates were equally culpable.

Neymar's Agent Wagner Ribeiro Blasts Scolari
Neymar’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro, has launched a scathing attack on Luiz Felipe Scolari, brandishing the Brazil coach "repulsive and conceited."
The World Cup hosts were dumped out of the competition on Tuesday, suffering a humiliating 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Germany in Belo Horizonte – Brazil’s biggest defeat since a 6-0 loss to Uruguay in 1920.
And as the fall-out from what the Brazilian media described as the most shameful result in the country’s football history, Riberio took to Twitter to launch a six-point personal attack on Felipao with an ironic list of requirements to be Brazil coach.

Thiago Silva Appeals To Brazilian Fans After German Thrashing
Thiago Silva has urged disgruntled Brazil fans to help the crestfallen FIFA World Cup hosts overcome the side's semi-final capitulation.
Missing captain Thiago Silva through suspension in Belo Horizonte on Tuesday, Brazil suffered a humiliating 7-1 thrashing at the hands of rampant Germany. A desperate first-half performance saw Brazil go into the break 5-0 down and things barely improved after the interval as Germany cruised into an eighth World Cup final.
Brazil fans, so fervent in their support of the national team throughout the tournament, were stunned into silence and even began to applaud Joachim Low's side after Andre Schurrle netted the seventh goal.

JUNINHO: Neymar-less Brazil Can Win World Cup
Former Brazil playmaker Juninho believes the host national can overcome Neymar's absence to win the FIFA World Cup.
Luiz Felipe Scolari's team secured a semi-final place with a stirring 2-1 win over Colombia last Friday, but it came at a price. A robust challenge from Colombia defender Juan Camilo Zuniga left Neymar with a fractured vertebra, ruling him out of the rest of the tournament.
Much of the pre-match build-up to Tuesday's last-four clash against Germany in Belo Horizonte has centred on how Scolari will adapt to the Barcelona forward's absence.

WORLD CUP 2014: Fabio Cannavaro Blasts Disrespectful Louis Van Gaal
Fabio Cannavaro has criticised Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal’s decision to take off goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen before his side's World Cup quarter-final shoot-out against Costa Rica, insisting the plaudits he is getting are undeserved.
The Oranje boss brought Tim Krul on in place of his starting goalkeeper in the last minute of extra-time in the last-eight tie as he believed the Newcastle United man would be better suited for spot kicks than Ajax's No.1.
Krul then saved two out of five penalties to put his country through - with Van Gaal earning praise in many quarters for the bold decision late in the game - but World Cup 2006 winner Cannavaro had an opposing stance on the topic.

RAUL: Di Maria's Absence Will Put More Pressure On Messi Ahead Of Netherlands Encounter
Angel di Maria's unavailability for Argentina's World Cup semi-final against Netherlands piles more pressure on Lionel Messi, according to Raul.
The Albiceleste booked their spot in the World Cup last four with a 1-0 victory over Belgium at the Estadio Nacional de Brasilia on Saturday but their win was marred by the loss of Di Maria to a thigh strain.
The Real Madrid winger will now miss Wednesday's meeting with Netherlands in Sao Paulo and Raul believes his absence will make Argentina even more reliant on Messi, who carried his country through the group stages.

WORLD CUP 2014: Semi Final - Brazil vs Germany Preview
This is a clash between two very strong teams that promises to be a very exciting match as the Brazilians are on a mission to win the gold at home whereas Germany are looking to capture their first World title since 1990.
Tragedy has struck for Brazil as their star player Neymar has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament due to a fractured vertebra he suffered in the quarter-finals against Colombia. Manager Luiz Felipe Scolari needs to come up with a quick solution, as the Barcelona forward has been doing most of the work in the past matches, and will be looking on players such as Hulk and Chelsea’s Oscar to finally reach top form. To make matters worse, the team’s captain Thiago Silva will be suspended after getting carelessly booked last week.
Germany seemed very efficient and dominant against France last week and manager Joachim Low was fortunate enough to see an impressive performance by the returning Mats Hummels, who also scored the winning goal. The team will be looking on the likes of Thomas Muller, Mario Gotze and Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil to take advantage of Brazil’s troubled defence.
