Nigeria striker Anthony Ujah scored his seventh goal of the season as his Werder Bremen side drew 1-1 away at VfB Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga on Sunday.
Ujah, who has not been in Sunday Oliseh’s plans for Nigeria in recent internationals, scored Werder Bremen’s equaliser in the 71st minute of the game to earn his side a share of the spoils at the Mercedes Benz Arena.
Lukas Rupp had earlier given the home side the lead in the 33rd minute and looked well in control till the last 20 minutes of the game when Werder Bremen got into their strides and were able to equalise through the former FC Cologne striker.
Ujah’s form has been one of the bright spots in an otherwise bad season for the Die Werderaner who are being drawn into the relegation dogfight.
Werder Bremen are in 15th position on the Bundesliga table with 14 points from 15 matches.
