I Owe Ramires & Willian A Debt - Jose Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admitted he owed a debt of gratitude to substitutes, Ramires and Willian who were responsible for the fightback which earned a 2-2 draw at Newcastle.

Chelsea were trailing 2-0 and seemingly heading for their fifth defeat in eight games when Ramires sparked the recovery with a long-range shot in the 79th minute.

He then distracted Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul sufficiently to enable Willian's free-kick to find a way past him.

REAL MADRID: Do All You Can To Get Me Ramires Says Ancelotti

Of all the centre-halves the Real Madrid coaching staff are considering, Ramires is top of Ancelotti's list. Despite the fact that Mourinho has made it clear the Brazilian midfielder isn't for sale, the Italian coach has asked his club to do what they can.

As a result, Real Madrid are following the player closely in the world cup. However, Ramires has fans and detractors alike. And, in the two games played so far, the Brazilian hasn't made much of an impression.

Although he is extremely grateful to the current Real Madrid manager, it will be difficult for the midfield enforcer to leave Mourinho in the lurch. It is worth remembering what Ramires said shortly after Mou's return to London was announced. He explained that the Portuguese coach had called him to say that he was delighted at the opportunity to finally work together.

"He said that he had always tried to sign me, when he was at Inter and then at Real Madrid, and I'm really looking forward to starting to work with him," assured the Brazilian.

Ramires Get 4-Match Ban After Misconduct During Sunderland Clash

Chelsea's Brazilian midfielder, Ramires, has been handed a four-game ban after accepting an FA charge of violent conduct during the Blues' defeat to Sunderland.

The former Benfica man hit Sebastian Larsson in the face in an incident that was not spotted by referee Mike Dean and will now sit out the remainder of the season.

An FA statement read: "Chelsea midfielder Ramires has accepted a charge of violent conduct following an off-the-ball incident that was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.
