I Owe Ramires & Willian A Debt - Jose Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admitted he owed a debt of gratitude to substitutes, Ramires and Willian who were responsible for the fightback which earned a 2-2 draw at Newcastle.

Chelsea were trailing 2-0 and seemingly heading for their fifth defeat in eight games when Ramires sparked the recovery with a long-range shot in the 79th minute.

He then distracted Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul sufficiently to enable Willian's free-kick to find a way past him.

Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv on Wednesday night in the Champions League came at a cost. Following the match, manager Jose Mourinho told reporters that both Pedro and Willian are out of Saturday’s clash with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro was injured in last weekend’s 3-1 defeat at Everton, and the Spaniard failed to participate in the win over the Israelis.

As for Willian, after he broke the deadlock for Chelsea in the 15th minute with a free-kick which evaded everybody, the Brazilian was hauled off after just 23 minutes with a muscle problem.

One will think that Mourinho will take Moses more important considering the pace and ability of the young Nigerian international when it comes to taking on defenders. Jose convinced us a bit when Moses was given a subtitute role during the Swansea clash but with the Special One turning to out of form Cuadrado it signifies the fact that Jose prefers him to Moses.

The Mourinho that i know gives preference to players he bought himself and that has been the reason why you see him feature the almost unuseful Falcao in every match despite the fact that the Colombian hasn't made any meaniful impact.

Previewing today’s Community between Arsenal and Chelsea, the Daily Mail have written up one of those illogical player v player pieces in order to ascertain which of the two sides is better.

A late strike from Willian ensured Chelsea beat Everton 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday to remain seven points clear at the top of the Premier League. Tim Howard looked set to deny the leaders victory on his return from injury, but the Everton goalkeeper was unable to keep out a deflected strike from Brazil midfielder Willian just a minute from time in a dramatic finale.

Eden Hazard, Willian and Nemanja Matic were all thwarted by the former Manchester United man and Branislav Ivanovic had a late goal disallowed for offside, before Willian secured an 11th win from 12 top-flight home games.

Willian scores his first goal for Brazil has they thrashed Honduras 5-0 in Miami

Chelsea midfielder Willian who was recently selected  to join the Brazilian team notched his first goal for Brazil on Saturday night as Big Phil Scolari’s side trounced Honduras 5-0 in Miami. There were a host of Chelsea players involved for Brazil as David Luiz and Oscar started whilst Willian and Ramires were introduced in the second half. Willian does not have a great goal scoring record, notching just one for Chelsea at Norwich so far, but this goal and a fine performance could go a long way to securing a place in the Brazil squad for the World Cup on home soil next summer. The celebration was also pretty fun to watch, with David Luiz clearly delighted for his club and international team mate.
