Stop Focusing On Cesc Fabregas - Guus Hiddink

Coach Hiddink has voiced out his opinion on Fabregas and he insists that the Spanish player isn't responsible for the blues poor season.

Guus Hiddink has leapt to the defence of midfielder Cesc Fabregas, whom he believes is not to blame for Chelsea's slump this season.

Fabregas has been singled out for much of the criticism directed at the embattled Premier League champions, in a season which has seen the London club lose nine of 19 league games and win just five, resulting in the dismissal of manager Jose Mourinho last month.

Jose Mourinho Mentions Four Chelsea Stars Struggling With Form

Jose Mourinho insists that Cesc Fabregas is not the only Chelsea star struggling from loss of form this season. Cesc has lost a bit of his starting right at Stamford Bridge with the Spanish player starting some matches from the bench. Jose has also mentioned some other players who have lost form.

The former Arsenal captain, who was instrumental in helping to secure Mourinho’s third Premier League title, has suffered a dramatic loss of form and was dropped to the bench for the decisive midweek Champions League group stage clash against Porto.

But Mourinho believes the Spain international is far from alone in having underperformed this season, singling out three other Chelsea stalwarts.

Previewing today’s Community between Arsenal and Chelsea, the Daily Mail have written up one of those illogical player v player pieces in order to ascertain which of the two sides is better.

Taking each player for each side and comparing them against their opposite number with scores out of 10 (keeper v keeper, full-back v full-back), the Mail came to the conclusion that Chelsea are better than Arsenal, 89 to 86 (as last season’s Premier League table would have shown you).

But when you look closely at each rating, a common theme emerges, and as was depressingly predictable, the Mail journo did the ratings with his Little Englander hat on.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas insists that he will always “love” Arsenal as he prepares to face his former club in the Community Shield.
