Shaun Wright Phillips Joins New York Red Bulls

Former Man City & Chelsea star Shaun Wright-Phillips has joined New York Red Bulls following his release by QPR.

New York Red Bulls have completed the signing of former England international Shaun Wright-Phillips, who joins brother Bradley at the club.

Wright-Phillips was released by QPR at the end of last season having made just five Premier League starts over the last two campaigns.

HULL 2 QPR 1: Fantastic N'Doye Scores Late Winner

Dame N'Doye marked his 30th birthday with a last-minute goal as Hull City claimed a vital 2-1 win over fellow Premier League strugglers QPR on Saturday. A nervy affair was brought to life after 16 minutes when a defensive error allowed Nikica Jelavic to fire home for the hosts, before QPR captain Joey Barton received a red card for lashing out at Tom Huddlestone.

Despite Hull's numerical advantage, Charlie Austin, who failed a medical at the KC Stadium back in 2013, was on hand to restore parity just before half-time, flicking home a teasing cross from Matt Phillips.

PREMIER LEAGUE: Redknapp Resigns From QPR Over Bad Health

Harry Redknapp has resigned as manager of Premier League Queens Park Rangers, the club said on Tuesday. The 67-year-old spent just over two years in charge of the London side, gaining promotion to the top flight last season. Redknapp said ill-health had been a factor in his decision.

"Sadly I need immediate surgery on my knee which is going to stop me from doing my job in the coming weeks," he said in a statement.

Cesc Fabregas' Beautiful Passes Has Taken Chelsea To Another Level - Oscar

Oscar insists summer signing Cesc Fabregas has taken Chelsea to another level this season with his "beautiful passes".

The Blues finished third in the Premier League last term but have made an undefeated start to the current campaign and sit four point clear at the top of the table after 10 games. Oscar played an integral role in Chelsea's latest victory, netting the opener in Saturday's 2-1 defeat of QPR courtesy of a sublime finish with the outside of his right foot.

Rio Ferdinand Mocks Manchester City Fans

Manchester City fans have been taunted for not filling the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday by ex-Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand. City announced in June they would expand their stadium to accommodate more than 55,000 fans and that work would be completed in time for the start of the next Premier League season.

Man United Can Still Get Better - Louis van Gaal

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal believes his side can still improve despite Sunday's 4-0 Premier League victory over QPR. The hugely influential Angel Di Maria scored on his home debut as United ended the wait for a first competitive win under the Dutchman in style, with Ander Herrera, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata also on the scoresheet.

Radamel Falcao, who completed a season-long loan move from Monaco on transfer deadline day, was introduced as a second-half substitute for his first appearance in a United shirt, while Van Gaal fielded two other new faces, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind, from the start.

TRANSFER NEWS: Real Madrid, Man City Wants Falcao, Chelsea, Arsenal In Remy War & More



The future of Radamel Falcao has become the centre of attention in the lead-up to the transfer deadline, with both Manchester City and Real Madrid bidding for his services. The striker, who sat out Monaco’s weekend draw with Lille, had tweeted early on Sunday morning (EST) that he was about to join Real - but the tweet was deleted a short time later.

Any deal with Real is only going to be on loan and Falcao’s representatives are shopping around to se if they can get a permanent deal. City then entered the fray and there are reports that talks are well advanced. To complicate matters even more, there are also rumours that City are about to offload Alvaro Negredo to either Real or Valencia. A move looks highly likely before Tuesday morning’s deadline (EST), it’s just a matter of whether he can get the permanent deal he is looking for.

CONFIRMED: Crystal Palace Appoints Neil Warnock As Coach

Crystal Palace have confirmed the appointment of Neil Warnock as the club's new manager.The veteran boss, who parted company with Leeds United last year, spent almost three seasons at Selhurst Park between 2007 and 2010 before moving to QPR.

As reported by Goal, he beat off competition from Steve Clarke to land the position, with chairman Steve Parish having finally found a successor to Tony Pulis after the former Stoke City manager's abrupt exit.

QPR: Harry Redknapp Wants More New Arrivals

QPR manager Harry Redknapp is looking to add further numbers to his squad before the transfer window closes on September 1. Redknapp endured a miserable return to White Hart Lane on Sunday, as his former club Tottenham consigned Rangers to a 4-0 Premier League defeat.

Having bounced back to the top flight at the first time of asking by winning the Championship play-off final against Derby County in May, QPR have made a poor start to life back in the Premier League having also lost 1-0 to Hull City at Loftus Road on the opening day. Redknapp has added several new faces to his squad, but the 67-year-old is still eager to bring in more players before the deadline.

JOEY BARTON: Wayne Rooney Not Good Enough

Ever blunt Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton, has declared that Manchester United star Wayne Rooney is not world class and says his lifestyle has hampered his career.

Barton was highly critical of the whole England set up though he still commended Rooney but reckons Rooney has not reached the standards of Cristiano Ronaldo due to his poor mentality.

“Our players aren’t world class. They are not world class,” Barton, the former Liverpool and Manchester City, said.
