EPL: No FA Action Against Ashley Barnes' Tackle Against Matic

Burnley player Ashley Barnes will face no action for his challenge on Nemanja Matic, the Football Association have announced. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho branded Barnes's tackle on Matic "criminal" in a lengthy attack on refereeing standards and media coverage while appearing on Sky Sports.

Matic was sent off in the 70th minute at Stamford Bridge for his violent reaction to a studs-up challenge from Burnley's Barnes.

Jose Mourinho accused Burnley's Ashley Barnes of making a "criminal" tackle on Chelsea's Nemanja Matic as the Blues' boss let rip at refereeing standards and media coverage of his team. Matic was sent off for his angry reaction to Barnes' tackle in the 70th minute of Chelsea's 1-1 draw against struggling Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

While Serbian midfielder Matic was dismissed, Burnley forward Barnes went unpunished by referee Martin Atkinson and the Clarets took advantage of their numerical advantage to snatch a late equaliser.

Romelu Lukaku feels he is "blessed" to be able to train and play alongside Everton team-mate and legendary striker Samuel Eto'o. Gary Cahill believes Chelsea's perfect start to the Premier League season proves they have learned lessons from last term. The west London club have won both their opening two top-flight fixtures of the campaign, beating newly promoted duo Burnley and Leicester City.

Playing For Chelsea Is So Easy Says Fabregas

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas says playing for the Blues is "so easy" after making his Premier League debut for them in their win over Burnley at Turf Moor.

The former Barcelona star was inspirational as Jose Mourinho's men recovered from falling behind to the Premier League new-boys with goals from Diego Costa, Andre Schurrle and Branislav Ivanovic enough for victory.

Fabregas laid on Schurrle's strike with a glorious pass before delivering the corner for Ivanovic's goal and the €37.5 million [£30m] signing from the Catalan giants says he has adapted to life well at Stamford Bridge and is looking forward to a successful season with the Blues.
