Nigeria international defender, Efe Ambrose has emerged champion in Scotland’s Premiership on Saturday with Celtic. Celtic wrapped up the title without kicking a ball as their closest challengers, Aberdeen failed to win on match day 35 of the competition.
The Bhoys had thrown down the gauntlet with a classy 5-0 win over Dundee 24 hours earlier.
Aberdeen had to win at Tannadice Park on Saturday but failed to do that as they suffered a 0-1 defeat to a spirited Dundee United side.
Celtic thus wrapped their fourth successive Premiership title and for Ambrose, it represents a third consecutive winners’ medal with the Glasgow-based club.
Ambrose has racked up 1849 minutes of league action for Celtic this season and has failed to score so far this season.
Last season, the former Asdod man spent 3341 minutes on the pitch in league matches for Celtic while scoring three goals in the process.
The 25-year-old scored twice in the league in his first season for Celtic after spending 2161 minutes on the pitch.
