Golden State Warriors 135-116 Sun: Curry Leads Warriors To Set New 17-0 League Start Unbeaten Record


Stephen Curry can stop getting the points for Warriors has they keep extending their record. The Golden State Warriors have been unbeaten since the start of the season and have also equaled and set the unbeaten record from the start of the season and all thanks to the MVP Stephen Curry. its now 17-0 for the warriors.

Throughout their franchise history the Phoenix Suns have stopped win streaks of 15 or more games six times. However they couldn't stop the historically streaking Golden State Warriors on Friday night.

Led by Stephen Curry, the Warriors cruised to a 135-116 victory over the Suns to remain undefeated. Golden State is now the first team in the history of the NBA to start a season 17-0. Dating back to last season, the Warriors have now won 21 straight regular-season games and are only the fourth team in NBA history to win 21 or more straight games.


The Warriors set another record in this game as well, making 15 first-half 3-pointers. Golden State also set a franchise record by making 22 3-pointers in the game, falling one shy of tying the NBA record.

Curry finished the game 41 points (11-20 FG, 9-16 3PT, 10-11 FT), six rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Golden State had built such a large lead at the end of the third quarter that Curry was able to sit out the entirety of the fourth. The reigning MVP started the game hot, scoring 19 points in the first quarter and made seven three-pointers in the first half.

Draymond Green also was big for the Warriors, recording his third career triple double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Golden State also got a big boost from Leandro Barbosao, who came off the bench to score 21 points.

The Warriors are now eyeing the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers' 33-game winning streak and after beating the Suns are halfway there. But in the immediate future, the Warriors will look for their 18th straight win Saturday night against the Sacramento Kings.
