I Can Be Juventus' Most Prolific Midfielder - Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba is confident that he has what it takes to take Arturo Vidal's role at Juventus and be the club's highest-scoring midfielder this season.

The Chile international left the Serie A champions for Bayern Munich this month, but Pogba has ensured the club's fans they have nothing to worry about.

Vidal netted 35 goals in four seasons in Serie A, hitting eight in all competitions last season, while Pogba has scored 20 times in three years in the Italian top flight.

Arturo Vidal's Father Arrested For Drugs In Chile

Arturo Vidal’s father was reportedly arrested for possession of drugs and knives. The tale is reported by Chilean newspaper La Cuarta. Erasmo Vidal was apparently taken to the station after police in the town of La Victoria found drugs and knives in his possession.

Erasmo is quoted by the paper denying the charge. “I did nothing. It’s clear considering I was released after a while. I was just having a beer with friends. It was super quiet.”

While this fiasco was unfolding, Arturo Vidal was being unveiled as a Bayern Munich player. The midfielder signed for the German giants after four years at Juventus.

Though he was subsequently charged formally with driving under the influence of alcohol, he was able to play a full role in the rest of the tournament but his punishments have now been confirmed.

No United Move For Arturo Vidal - Massimiliano Allegri

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal is set to start against Chievo on Saturday and "will stay in Turin", according to Massimiliano Allegri. The Chile international has been linked with a move to Manchester United throughout the close-season.

Despite that, Allegri has consistently said Vidal would stay with the Serie A champions – and that appears likely to happen with the transfer window closing Tuesday. Allegri said Vidal's knee still needed to be managed, but the midfielder is set to start against Chievo.

Man United In Late Push For Vidal

Manchester United are making a concerted effort to sign Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal before the transfer window closes on Monday, Goal has learned.

The Premier League side have been monitoring Vidal all summer but have been put off by the Turin club's strong, public stance that the Chilean would not be sold. With Vidal not willing to force a move and jeapordise his relationship with the Juve fans, and the club's reluctance to be seen to offload one of their star men, United were left in limbo.

Louis van Gaal had been willing to wait until January to make a move for Roma's Kevin Strootman if United could not land his top targets this summer.
