NFF Crisis: Solomon Dalung Calls For Peaceful Talks Between Pinnick & Giwa

The Youths and Sports minister of Nigeria Solomon Dalung has called on the two warring fractions of the NFF to allow peace reign.

Fourteen months ago when the issue of the genuine NFF President erupted the Chris Giwa led group was forced out by the then government with a promise of reviewing the whole matter.

With the promise of the government being inactive the Giwa led group has threatened to sack the Pinnick led NFF through the back door.

NFF Waring Parties Must Face Arbitration Panel - FIFA

Fifa has recommended that an arbitration panel should be set up by the Nigeria Football Federation to resolve the disputes arising from the September 30 elections in Warri. In a letter signed by Fifa's Director of Legal Affairs Marco Villiger and Head of Corporate Legal Oliver Jaberg respectively and made available to Goal, it acknowledged the receipt of letter from Ike Igbogwe over the NFF's rejection of its request for an arbitration panel.

Fifa said it has no authority to resolve the crisis insisting it was an internal affairs and resolved to accept in entity the verdict of a 'competent body' set-up to rule over the appeals' verdict against seeking redress at a regular court.

NIGERIA: Court Of Arbitation For Sports Summons Pinnick & Giwa Over NFF Clash

The awaited verdict of CAS is expected to provide a lasting solution to the protracted six months long crisis which have engulfed the nation's football since its exit from the Brazil 2014 World Cup. It would be recalled that observers and aggrieved contestants in both the August 26 and September 30 elections have demanded for a fresh elections after cries of irregularities.

However, the failure of the Pinnick led NFF board to set-up an arbitration panel in resolve of the election disputes over the split that had the minority and majority in the NFF Appeals Committee.

NIGERIA: Giwa Blasts NFF Over Keshi's Sack

A football proprietor, Chris Giwa, has cried out over the removal of former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, by the Nigeria Football Federation on Wednesday.

The Amaju Pinnick board of the NFF after a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday removed all the technical crew members of the national team and named Amodu Shaibu as the head of a consortium of coaches to oversee the affairs of the team for the two remaining matches in the Africa nations Cup qualifiers.
