A football proprietor, Chris Giwa, has cried out over the removal of former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, by the Nigeria Football Federation on Wednesday.
The Amaju Pinnick board of the NFF after a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday removed all the technical crew members of the national team and named Amodu Shaibu as the head of a consortium of coaches to oversee the affairs of the team for the two remaining matches in the Africa nations Cup qualifiers.
However, the proprietor of Giwa FC, Giwa after a meeting with his group on Wednesday in Abuja faulted the move, insisting that Keshi deserved to finish what he had started.
“Emphasis is supposed to be on the two remaining games against Congo and South Africa rather than sacking or hiring of new technical manager at this critical time,” he said.
Giwa enjoined Nigerians to remain hopeful on the chances of the Super Eagles to pick one of the tickets at stake in group A of the ongoing AFCON qualifiers.
