Magic guard Victor Oladipo suffered a sprained MCL during a recent team scrimmage, the team announced Monday.
Oladipo apparently suffered the injury Friday, though the extent is not yet known. He becomes the second Magic player to suffer this injury, as Channing Frye went down last week with the same issue. At this point, it is not clear how much this injury is expected to linger, nor whether it will impact Oladipo's availability for the start of the season.
Oladipo stayed remarkably healthy as a rookie, playing in 80 of 82 possible games. He averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game and finished second in Rookie of the Year voting.
