Floyd Mayweather has pulled in about $105 million over the past 12 months and on Monday, he pulled in $200,000 more. That's because the boxer bet big on the Seahawks to cover the seven point spread against the Redskins on Monday night.
Mayweather loves to show off his winning gambling tickets on social media and he did exactly that with the winning Seahawks ticket. Mayweather bet $220,000 on Seattle, a bet that paid off with $200,000 in winnings for a the $420,000 total you see above.
The crazy part is how close Mayweather came to losing this bet. If Russell Wilson doesn't pull off the ridiculous play you see below, then Mayweather's bet likely pushes and he doesn't win anything (although he wouldn't have lost anything either).
That play came on third-and-4 late in the fourth quarter and if the Seahawks don't convert, they would've likely punted. That probably would've meant that the final score would have been 24-17, instead of 27-17.
The Seahawks got a late field goal after Wilson's pass to Marshawn Lynch, which won the bet for Mayweather.
Mayweather also posted a betting slip showing that he won $685,714 betting on the Colts in Week 3. But that bet was three weeks ago and it came against the Jaguars and well, no one really cares what happened three weeks ago against the Jaguars, right?
Oh, and if Mayweather ever posts a picture of a ticket from a bet he lost, I'll be the first to let you know. We should start betting on when or if that will ever happen.
