Arsenal 2-0 Stoke: Walcott, Girould Guns Visitors Down At Emirates

After critics have had  doubts in Arsenal's attack, Wengers men seems to be responding when it matters most with Walcott and Giroud responding with goals to anyone doubting there abilities.

Both Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud answered their critics with well-taken goals as Arsenal picked up a first home win of the season in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Stoke City at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners laid siege to the visitors' goal in the opening exchanges, twice hitting the woodwork, and finally took the lead through Walcott on the half-hour mark, racing onto Mesut Ozil's excellent pass and sliding the ball under Jack Butland.

Neville To Wenger: You Can't Win The Title With This Kind Of Squad

Almost everybody is saying Wenger's side needs a major signing to become title contender but Wenger has recently responded by saying he's working hard in the transfer market.... with how many days to go.... Arsenal fans are on their own..lol

Arsenal will need to redefine history if they are to win the Premier League without improving their defensive structure, according to former Manchester United defender Gary Neville.

Neville criticised Arsene Wenger after the club’s draw with Liverpool on Monday, claiming the 65-year-old is either naive or arrogant to rely on flair players alone to win their first title since 2003-04.

Arsenal Can Win The Premier League If They Sign Benzema - Henry

Arsenal should unite Karim Benzema and Olivier Giroud at the Emirates Stadium, according to Thierry Henry. Thierry Henry claims Arsenal need to just do one thing to win the Premier League - sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

Henry has been talking up Benzema to Arsenal for the majority of the close-season and has previously claimed Arsene Wenger cannot end his 11-year Premier League title drought with Olivier Giroud as his main striker.

But while Henry backtracked on his previous criticism of "amazing" Giroud, the former Arsenal skipper remains convinced Wenger should do everything to sign Benzema.

EMIRATES CUP: Six Star Arsenal Demolish Lyon

A blistering first half display saw Arsenal score four first half goals as they swept Lyon aside in a 6-0 win in the Emirates Cup.

Olivier Giroud opened the scoring, diverting a Mesut Ozil cross beyond Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes before the Frenchman turned provider for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Youngster Alex Iwobi added a third, completing a well-worked team goal, before the impressive Aaron Ramsey latched on to an Ozil pass to finish from close range.

Ozil added a fifth after the break, thumping a low strike beyond Lopes and into the bottom corner, and Santi Cazorla rounded off the scoring with a free kick late on.

Giroud To Tackle Henry Over Criticizing Statement

Olivier Giroud has brushed off earlier criticism from Thierry Henry but plans to have a man-to-man talk with the Arsenal legend.

Henry said in April that the Gunners would not win the Premier League with Giroud as their principal attacking threat, prompting comments about the 37-year-old's punditry work and a defence from Arsene Wenger.

Giroud insists he was unperturbed by Henry's remarks and is only focused on performing as well as possible for Arsenal, but would nonetheless relish the opportunity to speak to Henry privately on the topic.

Arsenal Needs Three Top Strikers To Win Premier League - Thierry Henry

The Gunners legend puts Olivier Giroud in that bracket, but says he needs support if they are to launch a serious challenge to the title. Thierry Henry has declared that Arsenal need THREE top strikers if they are to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title.

The Gunners could still win the FA Cup and finish second in the top-flight this season, but Henry doesn't think it is enough, given that they have gone a decade without a championship. The Frenchman points to the fact he had Sylvain Wiltord, Nwankwo Kanu, Davor Suker and Dennis Bergkamp providing competition for him during his glory days at Highbury.

ARSENAL: Arsene Wenger Coy Over New Signings

Arsene Wenger plans to be "on alert until the last minute" of transfer deadline day, but has refused to be drawn on Arsenal's targets. Wenger has been linked with moves for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao and Paris Saint-Germain's teenage midfielder Adrien Rabiot ahead of Monday's deadline. The Frenchman had said that he will not sign a striker after Olivier Giroud suffered a broken tibia that is set to rule him out until next year.

However, the Arsenal boss hinted on Friday that he is ready to move into the transfer market, but was coy over potential new additions.

ARSENAL 1 WEST BROM 0: Gunners Struggle To Win With Giroud's Header

Olivier Giroud's first-half header helped Arsenal stroll to an easy but dreadfully dull victory over West Brom in a game which epitomised an end of season fixture.

The Gunners already had Champions League football guaranteed following Everton’s 3-2 loss to Manchester City on Saturday, while West Brom were practically, if not mathematically, safe from relegation.
And it all made for an awful game with both sides playing at a canter and offering little to get the pulses racing at a quiet Emirates Stadium.

There was some cheer prior to the match to see Abou Diaby named on the substitutes bench after 13 months out injured, however, the Frenchman did not get on the field.

WENGER: Olivier Giroud Has Regained His Credibility

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes Olivier Giroud has regained his "credibility" with his goal against West Ham. The forward has scored just twice in his last eight games and was criticised for his displays during Arsenal's recent run of four Premier League games without a win.

But the France international netted a well-taken equaliser in Tuesday's 3-1 win over West Ham which has put Arsenal one point ahead of fifth-placed Everton in the race for a Champions League place.

"It gives him credibility again for people who questioned his ability, so that is important."
