Spurs In £10m Deal For Lyon Striker Clinton Njie

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the £10million signing of Lyon forward Clinton Njie according to the Guardian.

The Cameroon international is just 21-years-old but has already scored six goals in just 11 caps for his country and has been tipped to become the eventual successor to former Barcelona star Samuel Eto’o.

The forward managed Eight goals and nine assists in 33 appearances as Lyon finished 2nd in Ligue 1 last season.

Defender Rafael takes to Twitter to say his farewells to Manchester United ahead of expected move to French club Lyon.

Rafael has thanked both Manchester United and their fans on social media ahead of his impending exit from the club. The defender is set to complete a move from Old Trafford to Lyon and took to Twitter on Monday to say his farewells.

With Matteo Darmian arriving from Torino in the summer, Rafael found himself falling further down the pecking order for the right-back berth in Louis van Gaal's side.

Manchester United right back Rafael looks set to join Ligue Un club Lyon after falling out of favour with Dutch manager Louis van Gaal.

The Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed the arrival of the Brazilian defender on his official Twitter account but admitted that a fee was not to be finalised between the two clubs.

“Rafael has arrived from Manchester United. We expect to reach an agreement over his transfer. He is in good Brazilian spirits.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is paying little importance to Paris Saint-Germain's International Champions Cup success as the French champions gear up for Saturday's Trophee des Champions clash with Lyon.

PSG face last season's Ligue 1 runners-up Lyon in Montreal this weekend as the 2015-16 rears into view, with Laurent Blanc having successfully guided PSG to success in 2013 and 2014.

EMIRATES CUP: Six Star Arsenal Demolish Lyon

A blistering first half display saw Arsenal score four first half goals as they swept Lyon aside in a 6-0 win in the Emirates Cup.

Olivier Giroud opened the scoring, diverting a Mesut Ozil cross beyond Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes before the Frenchman turned provider for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Youngster Alex Iwobi added a third, completing a well-worked team goal, before the impressive Aaron Ramsey latched on to an Ozil pass to finish from close range.

Ozil added a fifth after the break, thumping a low strike beyond Lopes and into the bottom corner, and Santi Cazorla rounded off the scoring with a free kick late on.

Paris Saint-Germain Won't Sack Laurent Blanc - Nasser Al-Khelaifi

Laurent Blanc's job is not in danger despite Paris Saint-Germain's poor start to the season, according to club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. PSG were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Olympique Lyonnais this weekend and they are currently fifth in Ligue 1, having only won two of their opening six games as they bid to defend their domestic crown.

Having also drawn their opening Champions League match at Ajax, scrutiny over Blanc's position has swelled in the past month, but Al-Khelaifi insisted Blanc would be Parc des Princes' head coach until at least the end of the campaign.
