Dream Team of Nigeria and Les Fennecs of Algeria will meet for the second time in this championship to determine who lifts the trophy at Stade Leopold Senghor in Dakar.

This is certainly good news for Samson Siasia and the Dream Team VI has reports have now confirmed that the ministry of sports in Nigeria has moved in to clear the outstanding bills and allowances of the team.

Prior to the AFCON U-23 Championship it was reported that Siasia even spent his personal money on the team. The team have not been given a kobo since they have been in Senegal. Must the sports ministry or NFF wait till the team performs well before the needed finance are been made available?

Samson Siasia has insisted that the Dream Team VI must beat Senegal who are the host of AFCON U-23 Championship. Sia beleives the team is close to picking a ticket for the Olympics and beating Senegal in the semi final clash will ensure an automatic ticket for Rio 2016.

Two first half penalties converted by Oghenekaro Etebo proved inadequate for Nigeria’s Dream Team VI as they drew 2-2 with Egypt at the 2015 Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Senegal.

Nigeria had displayed defensive frailties in their opening game of the competition against Mali but showed notable improvements in the win over the Egyptians in M’bour.

The opening exchanges were dominated by Nigeria with quick passing without really creating clear cut openings.

Mali 2-3 Nigeria: Dream Team VI Survive Late Come Back Scare

The Dream team started on a high scoring path but was fast to concede two goals in what ended like a shaky start for Siasia's boys.

After a scoring three unreplied goals in the first half, Nigeria had to hang on to beat Mali 3-2 in their opening U23 AFCON Group B match in Mbour, Senegal, Sunday night.

This was the classic game of two halves - Nigeria cruised in the first 45 minutes to score three goals, but they were bested by Mali after the interval and had to hold out till the very last minute to stop a remarkable comeback by the boys from Bamako.

AFCON U-23 Championship: Dream Team VI To Jet To Senegal On Wednesday

Coach Samson Siasia and his selected players for AFCON U-23 championship in Dakar, Senegal will leave Gambia where the team has camped for about 10 days to jet to Senegal where the championship is set to kick off. Siasia has a target of reaching the last 3 to ensure a ticket to the olympic games in Rio In Brazil.

U-23 National team, Dream Team VI will depart Banjul Gambia, on Wednesday where it has been camping for the past 10 days in preparation for the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Senegal.

A statement issued by Ademola Olajire, Assistant Director, Communications, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) quoted the team’s secretary Sirajo Hassan as saying that the delegation includes 23 players.

Nigeria finished third at the AAG in Congo Brazzaville and an unimpressed Siasia vowed to make changes to his squad for the U23 AFCON, which will serve as qualifying tournament for the 2016 Rio Olympics as well.
