Nigeria's Abiola Dauda Signs Loan Deal With Heart Of Midlothian In Scotland

Nigerian striker, Abiola Dauda has left Dutch Eredivisie club, Vitesse Arnhem and has teamed up with Scottish Premiership club, Heart of Midlothian.

Dauda arrives on a loan deal which is subject to to an international clearance.

The 27-year-old has previously played for Red Star Belgrade and Kalmar and won league titles during his stay in Serbia and Sweden.


Head coach of Hearts, Robbie Neilson said Dauda was the club’s “number one target” but feared the deal would fall through.

“It’s great to get Abiola signed up and he’s got a good pedigree.

“He was our number one target at the start of the month but we thought the deal wasn’t going to happen, but it was back on again and I’m delighted to get him.

“He’s got pace, power and I’m sure he’ll score goals. The fans will see a top quality player who’s played at the top level in three European countries,” he was quoted as saying on the club’s official website, www.heartsfc.co.uk.

Dauda scored three times in 11 league games for Vitesse this season.
