EURO 2016: Wales vs Belgium - All The Statistics & Facts You Need To Know

Wales were unbeaten against Belgium in their EURO 2016 qualifiers, with Chris Coleman's men winning 1-0 in Cardiff after a goalless draw in Brussels. This is the first time these teams have met in the finals of a major tournament. Wales and Belgium's last three encounters have produced only three goals.

Wales have reached the knockout stages in their two major tournament participation (World Cup 1958, EURO 2016). In 1958, they were knocked out in the quarter-finals by eventual winners Brazil.

Wales have lost only two of their nine games at major tournaments, both by a one-goal difference: against Brazil in 1958 (0-1) and England in 2016 (1-2).

Wales only had one shot on target in their last game against Northern Ireland, it was from a Gareth Bale free-kick.

Injury time included, Wales have trailed for only 2 minutes and 31 seconds in total over their first four games at EURO 2016.

All three goals conceded by Wales at EURO 2016 have come from the 56th minute onwards. They've also all been scored by substitutes.

Wales have kept two consecutive clean sheets for the first time in their major tournament history.

Meanwhile, Belgium haven't conceded a single goal in their last three games, their longest run of clean sheets at major tournaments.

Belgium have made the quarter-finals for a second consecutive major tournament after World Cup 2014. The last time they made the semis of a major competition was 30 years ago, at the 1986 World Cup.

Belgium have won seven of their last nine games at major tournaments (L2), that's as many victories as in their previous 23 games.

Since Belgium's defeat to Italy in their opening game at EURO 2016, the Red Devils have scored eight goals and conceded none. They are the top scoring side after the Last 16.

Seven of Belgium's eight goals at EURO 2016 have been scored after half-time, including six in the last half hour.

Gareth Bale is Wales' top-scorer in major tournaments (3 goals), netting one more than Ivor Allchurch (2, all in the 1958 World Cup).

Aaron Ramsey has scored/assisted three of the last five goals netted by Welsh players.

Kevin De Bruyne is directly involved in 12 goals in his last 12 games with Belgium (5 goals, 7 assists). He's the last Belgian player to score against Wales, back in October 2013 (1-1).

The top European assist providers at the last two major tournaments combined (WC 2014, EURO 2016) are both Belgian: Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard (5 assists each in total).

Hazard has scored/assisted four of Belgium's last six goals at EURO 2016. He completed 12 dribbles against Hungary on Sunday night, the most in a EURO game (since 1980).
