ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE: Mesut Ozil Takes Challenge & Nominates Rihanna And Mandy Capristo

Mesut Ozil is not part of the Arsenal squad taking on Besiktas in the Champions League this evening, so the Gunners playmaker had the opportunity to take on the ALS ice bucket challenge. So many famous footballers have poured cold buckets of water over their heads in recent days that it is hard to keep up.

Only Gedion Zelalem had done it so far from Arsenal as far as we are aware, the USA midfielder nominated Jack Wilshere, who will likely get in on the act after the match against Besiktas.

Ozil surprisingly nominated his own girlfriend (although there are rumours that they got married in the summer) Mandy Capristo, Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls NBA star) as well as Rihanna who partied with the World Cup winning German side after their final victory over Argentina.


The Arsenal attacker wrote on his Instagram page: “thanks for the nominations #Jérôme Boateng and #Steve Aoki. In return I nominate #Mandy Grace Capristo, #Rihanna and #Derrick Rose. this is a really amazing campaign to inform people about this insidious disease. #ALSIceBucketChallenge”.
