Andres Iniesta is optimistic about the coming season and believes Barcelona can win every competition they enter this year. The Catalans have made numerous personnel changes over the summer following the appointment of Luis Enrique as coach, with Luis Suarez, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Jeremy Mathieu and Ivan Rakitic all signing this summer.
Iniesta is positive that the changes will help his side recover from a campaign without silverware and challenge rivals Real Madrid and reigning league champions Atletico.
"With the new players who have come in, I think we have a great squad to compete for all titles," he told reporters.
"We had a major power shift last year. There is a great deal of hope and desire. We are coming from a bad and difficult year and we want people to feel happy with the team again.
"The team must try to grow and improve month by month, but at this club people want things to be immediate. There is not much patience at a club like this.
The 30-year-old believes Suarez will fit well into the team and is excited by the prospect seeing him team up with Neymar and Lionel Messi up front. However, he insists the whole team must be strong in order for them to be successful.
"It is never easy when you come from another club, but I think he will find a very healthy dressing room and I think he will adapt fine, because his talent is above everything else.
"Having those guys up front, as well as the likes of Pedro and Rafinha is a guarantee of goals. But what we need to find is a gear that works so that we ensure that we do well throughout all our games.
"In 90 minutes, a lot can happen, we have to be very good in all areas to grow and win."
Iniesta also spoke of his delight at being named the club's vice-captain.
"We all have an important role, but being vice-captain is something very special. I am proud and I thank my colleagues who voted for me and respected and believed in me."
