Cristiano Ronaldo Is Struggling

Cristiano Ronaldo scored 61 goals in 54 games last season, but he has struggled in front of goal so far this campaign, scoring just once in six games (405 minutes).

Despite their goalscoring woes, the club remains calm, convinced that the quality of the squad and new arrivals Kovacic and Danilo will shine through as soon as they gel and find some form.

The main problem is that no player has stepped up and taken responsibility for scoring their goals and their numbers in front of goal are giving cause for concern. They have failed to find the net in five of their nine games so far, something almost unheard of at the club.

It is true that Cristiano Ronaldo is struggling for goals and has found it hard to settle into Benítez's new formation. Gareth Bale's new role as Real Madrid's main attacking player appears to be taking its toll on him.

Bale's new position as an attacking midfielder playing through the middle of Los Blancos' attack means he is involved in every aspect of the team's attacking game, but the Welshman and his Portuguese teammate have yet to link up well and their partnership is not yielding the desired results.
