Federation Cup: Sunshine Queens FC To Battle Nasarawa Amazons In Semi-Final Clash

Sunshine Queens FC reached the semifinal of the 2015 Federation Cup after defeating FC Robo 2-0 in a quarter final game played at the Oleh Township Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Goals from Yetunde Aluko and Shola Oyewusi gave Kayode Olujohungbe’s side a ticket to the last four of the tournament, where they will face arch rivals, Nasarawa Amazons for a place in the final.

"I'm really happy we won this match because I expected a tough match because of the rain and we got it, the opponents were talented. My girls did great in the game,” Olujohungbe said after the game.

For the first time since Nigeria’s Cup competition was re-christened Federation Cup in 2009, a new champion will be crowned when the 2015 final is decided.
