Goals from Yetunde Aluko and Shola Oyewusi gave Kayode Olujohungbe’s side a ticket to the last four of the tournament, where they will face arch rivals, Nasarawa Amazons for a place in the final.
"I'm really happy we won this match because I expected a tough match because of the rain and we got it, the opponents were talented. My girls did great in the game,” Olujohungbe said after the game.
"Our focus is now on the league game on Saturday at home to Taraba Queens and we hope to maintain the winning spirit.
“The girls are in shape and their injury free so I can say our approach to each game is commendable,” he concluded.
With holders Rivers Angels already out of the competition, the Akure based outfit would be hoping to lift the title for the first time.
