Wolfsburg Accept £50m Kevin De Bruyne Bid From Man City

Manchester City have agreed a deal worth £50million for Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, with the club expecting to complete the deal in the coming days, according to Bild.

Over the last week there has been heightened speculation that City were close to agreeing a deal for the Belgian international, and it looks as though City’s persistence has paid off.

It is understood that the Blues’ have already offered the 24-year old Belgian a 5 year contract to make the move to Eastlands and although Wolfsburg have been adamant throughout that their most coveted assets will not be leaving the Volkswagen Arena this summer, it looks as though the Blues have simply made them an offer that they couldn’t refuse.

The fee for the dynamic midfielder is likely to eclipse the £49million fee that City have already paid for former Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling.

The signing of Kevin De Bruyne will only boost Manchester City’s Premier League title chances, as former Chelsea midfielder was the Bundesliga’s player of the year last season after registering 10 goals and incredible 20 assists during the last campaign.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have made an impressive start to the new season, as consecutive 3-0 victories have propelled City to top of the table after only two games played.
