Porto have announced that Alex Sandro has signed for Juventus. The 24-year-old left-back will join the Serie A champions after the two sides reached an agreement over a €26 million transfer fee.
The Brazilian had undertaken a medical on Thursday morning after Giuseppe Marotta had confirmed that a deal was close.
Juventus were see Sandro as the ideal addition to the squad to challenge Patrice Evra for a starting place as the Frenchman enters the twilight of his career.
The defender started his professional career with Atletico Paranaense and also turned out for Santos before moving to Portugal in 2011.
He had since developed into a key player for the Portuguese giants, but a transfer became inevitable after he refused to sign an extension to his contract which was set to expire next year.
