Paul Scholes Condemn Fumbling Ozil

Paul Scholes has criticised Mesut Ozil, claiming he is just "going through the motions" at Arsenal and his poor form is down to a lack of leaders at the Emirates Stadium. The World Cup winner arrived in north London in the summer of 2013 for €50 million and hit the ground running with two goals and three assists in his opening five games.

However, Ozil has struggled for form and fitness since and ahead of Arsenal's FA Cup quarter-final clash with Manchester United, the retired midfielder has believes the German international has shown a lack of ambition in joining the Gunners.

Wenger Doesn't Do Enough Work With Jack Wilshere - Paul Scholes

Jack Wilshere's superb second half goal and assist against Man City were described as 'one in the eye for the doubters', yet the midfielder's ability has never been in doubt - the issue has been how often he imposes himself on games like Saturday's clash with the champions.

That's not necessarily his fault, either. When Wilshere first burst on to the scene he looked for all the world like a natural No.10 but, given Arsenal have so many players of whom that could be said, the England midfielder has been largely forced to play in a deeper role that perhaps isn't as good a match for his skillset.
If Saturday showed anything, it's that he's more than capable of loitering in and around the penalty area, displaying the kind of composure required to score and assist in any match. So should Arsene Wenger shuffle his pack and give Wilshere a shot in that role?

MANCHESTER UNITED: Paul Scholes Questions Blind's Move

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has questioned the club's move for Ajax defender Daley Blind.
Blind is expected to sign for United in the coming days after the Premier League club announced on Saturday that they have had an offer - which Ajax later confirmed to be €17.5million (£13.8m) - accepted for the player. The 24-year-old starred for the Netherlands at this year's World Cup under now-United manager Louis van Gaal.

But Blind's versatility may also be his downfall, according to United icon Scholes, who feels the player may be forced into central midfield.

PAUL SCHOLES: Manchester United Will Bounce Back

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has backed the side to come good after overcoming an injury crisis. Scholes retired at the end of the previous campaign having helped the club to a 13th Premier League title in Sir Alex Ferguson's last year in charge, but United have struggled since David Moyes took charge.

Having been knocked out of both domestic cup competitions, the Champions League appears to be United's only possible chance of silverware this season, but Scholes insists Moyes has been unlucky with injuries.

"I don't think the manager can legislate for the amount of injuries he has had to deal with," he told the club's official website.
