Andy Murray autograph hunters arrested in gun alert

The incident happened in north London on Wednesday when the Scot was in a car with his agent. It is understood two men got out of another car and knocked on Murray's window, but he was driven away. A member of the public thought the men had a gun and contacted police. A Scotland Yard spokesman said they received a call at 17:00 on Wednesday to report a sighting of a man with a firearm in a Mercedes car in Avenue Road, Swiss Cottage. The car was stopped in Tadema Road in Chelsea, west London and four men - aged 21, 26, 27 and 31 - were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and taken into custody. They were later bailed until late January pending further inquiries. The spokesman said one line of inquiry being considered was that the men were carrying a tennis racquet. He added: "A search of the car was conducted and no trace of a firearm was found."

BAYERN SET TO EQUAL BARCELONA'S RECORD IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Pep Guardiola has set is focus on equaling the Catalan's run of nine straight wins in the Champions League. If they win there match against Viktoria Plzen they will match the record. Bayern has won 8 straight games in the competition from last season till now. The last time they suffered defeat was at home in the hands of a fantastic Arsenal side. Bayern will definately win and will surpass the record Barca set in 2002, thats my verdict oooo.

ROMA'S WINNING RUN ENDS

Roma's seemingly unstoppable surge towards matching a 53-year-old European record finally came to an end at Torino as their former player Alessio Cerci forced a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico. Had the runaway Serie A leaders clinched an 11th straight win they would have lived up to Tottenham's achievement of the 1960-61 season, in which Spurs opened a double-winning campaign with the same run of victories before drawing with Manchester City. Still a good run and they are still 3 points ahead on the table. Welldone boys.

DROUGHT: MESSI STILL GOALESS

Pressure is mounting on Lionel Messi to live up to is known standard. He looked off the pace from the start and just didn't seem to be totally up for the game, whether it be mental or physical. Frustration lead  him trying to hard to do things himself but eventually succumbed to his fourth consecutive match without a goal. Is he really tired like Stocoichkov suggested. Its for sure not an happy time for him considering that Christano Ronaldo is firing goals from all angles. For Barca fans you can understand why your team can get all the goals now. Barca struggling, Messi tired, Neymar and Sanchez contributing there little goals. If it continues like this expect Barca to drop points soon. Barcelona beat Espanyol 1-0 yesterday night.

HART TO SIT ON BENCH

England's no one goalie Joe Hart will be on bench as the reserve goal keeper during there clash with Norwich on Saturday. Man City coach Manuel Pelligrini decided to replace him after is costly mistake which cost them a defeat at Stamford Bridge. Dont forget that he also made a costly mistake against Bayern Munich earlier in the Champions League. Costel Plantilimon is the keeper presently in the No. 1 role now. English fans are definately sad about this. Sorry guys

IS ARSENAL CRUMBLING???

Arsenal lost a second consecutive match on home soil yesterday against Chelsea in a match in which they fielded most of there starting eleven. They previously lost to Dortmund at home in the Champion' League before falling short to Chelsea conceding 4 goals in both matches and scoring just one. With Arsenal being set to host Liverpool this weekend the table might turn except something superb happens. Liverpool are presently housing the deadliest strike partnership in the premier league and they are just 2 points below Arsenal who are on top of the table.

FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP: NIGERIA TO PLAY URUGUAY

Three-time champions Nigeria had no trouble with Iran at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain racking up three goals in the first half en route to a 4-1 scoreline. The result sets up a quarter-final date for the Nigerians with Uruguay, a game in which they may likely miss two of their best attackers – Kalechi Iheanacho and Success Isaac – through injury.  Nigeria came out all guns blazing in the opening seconds. Iheanacho, who scored four goals in the opener on this very pitch.

MOURINHO CONTINUES UNBEATEN RUN AGAINST WENGER AND ARSENAL

Coach Jose Mourinho inspired is Chelsea side to a 0-2 win against Arsenal at the Emirate Stadim. The inability of Wenger to find a winning formula to Mourinho' tactics is definately becoming frustrating to most fans. Cesar Azpilicueta and Juan Mata scored the goals in a match which the gunners performed below expectation. When will Wenger beat Mourinho? The day it happens i guess the drums will be out on the streets. Up Chelsea, sorry Gunners you can do your best again in the capital one cup next year.......
