World Cup 2014: Ronaldo backs peaceful protest
Ronaldo, a member of Brazil’s World Cup organising committee, insists the 2014 FIFA World Cup will benefit Brazil but sympathises with those who have been protesting against the expense of staging the finals. Soccerex, a major football convention scheduled to take place in Rio de Janeiro in late November, was cancelled, reportedly because of safety fears.
Super Ramsey strike sinks Borussia Dortmond
Aaron Ramsey's header gave Arsenal a battling victory over Borussia Dortmund to keep Arsene Wenger's side top of Champions League Group F. Wojciech Szczesny denied Marco Reus and Jakub Blaszczykowski as Arsenal looked to contain Dortmund in the first hour. The Gunners scored with their first effort at goal when Ramsey forced home Mesut Ozil's cross after 62 minutes. Ramsey almost made it 2-0 moments later and an increasingly desperate Dortmund side could not deny them a famous win. Arsenal became the first English team to win at Dortmund's imposing Westfalenstadion home with their 14th win in 15 unbeaten away games. The match ended 1-0 in favour of Arsenal. Go Gunners, keep gunning them down .....
Video: Eto's lucky goal against Schakle
Samuel Eto has probably found his formback after scoring two goals for Chelsea against Schakle. Funny goal, poor goal keeping.

Messi finds scoring form back
Messi got back to scoring form with a brace in Barcelona's victory over AC Milan tonight after going on a goal drought in four consecutive matches. Barcelona ended the match with a 3-1 victory over AC Millan. We are happy for you, up Barca, go Messi......
crazy picture: see the kiss between Anceloti and Conte
Juventus and Real Madrid put on a fine match on Tuesday evening, but surely not this good!Is the picture above photoshopped, or perhaps they went for a peck on the cheeks but got it all wrong amidst the excitement of the 2-2 draw? The pair are known to have a close relationship, after Ancelotti managed Conte at Juventus during the latter’s playing career............... lol
BAYERN MUNICH EQUALS BARCELONA'S RECORD
Bayern Munich equaled the Nine match straight win record in the Champions league which was achieved by Barcelona in 2002-03 season. The match was tough but a tactical change by the young magician Pep Guardiola which saw Mandzukic come in to score the only goal of the match made the difference. Viktoria Plzen looked strong all night but a more determined Bayern still got the three points to equal the record. My verdict was right and am convinced that they will break the record. Thumbs up to me............
RONALDO BREAKS MESSI'S RECORD
Cristiano Ronaldo has broken the record held for Champions League goals scored in a calendar year after his second-half strike for Real Madrid at Juventus on Tuesday - overtaking the mark previously set by Barcelona's Lionel Messi. It was the Portuguese's eighth goal in four Group B games this term and his 14th in the Champions League this calendar year, a total which sees him surpass Messi's 13 strikes in 2012.
Ronaldo's goal was his 59th in the Champions League. The Portuguese now trails only Messi (63) and Raul (71). He also needs just one more strike to set a new group stage record currently shared with Hernan Crespo, Filippo Inzaghi and Ruud van Nistelrooy. Good times for CR7 who is prospering amidst mockery and criticisms. Its for sure that Barcelona fans and Messi will not be happy. Thumbs up

MORE JIBES FOR CHRISTANO RONALDO
Portuguese super stay Christano Ronaldo who was recently mocked by Mr Sepp Blatter has been hit by another jibe from a friend and former team mate Kaka who said in an interview that he prefers the Brazilian Ronaldo to CR7. If you ask me most Catalans or ex will not say that about Messi even if it is true. It is probably becoming glaring that the Portuguese must be a proud man and that might account for the reasons why Messi frequently gets more votes than him, if you ask me, sympathy votes.....
COACH GARBA: NIGERIA WILL BEAT SWEDEN
Coach of the Golden Eaglets, Manu Garba has stated the desire of his
team to defeat their Swedish counterparts ahead of Tuesday’s semifinal
clash in Dubai at the ongoing Fifa Under-17 World Cup. Both sides meet
for the second time after an entertaining 3-3 draw in the group stage
and Garba has declared his boys will go all out for the win and book
their place in Friday’s final. Sweden remains the only team to have
taken points from Nigeria in a match in which we had to come back twice.
My verdict - Nigeria would make there way to the final but it will be
tough. Up Naija, please make us proud boys, we cant wait to celebrate
you.
BAYERN SET TO EQUAL BARCELONA'S RECORD IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Pep Guardiola has set is focus on equaling the Catalan's run of nine straight wins in the Champions League. If they win there match against Viktoria Plzen they will match the record. Bayern has won 8 straight games in the competition from last season till now. The last time they suffered defeat was at home in the hands of a fantastic Arsenal side. Bayern will definately win and will surpass the record Barca set in 2002, thats my verdict oooo.
MESSI: GOAL DROUGHT DUE TO MY FITNESS
Lionel Messi has attributed is goal drought to his level of fitness. The Argentine said he isn't 100% fit at the moment. This is actually Messi's worst run since March 2011 going four games straight without a goal. Am certain that the goal scoring form of CR7 will be giving Messi and his fans some bitter sleep. Get on board boy, your fans are waiting to see you score.

SUPER ARSENAL FIVE POINTS CLEAR
Chelsea missed the chance to be temporarily on top on Saturday before the match between Arsenal and Liverpool. Arsenal moved 5 points clear on the table after beating Liverpool and with other results seeing Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton all drop points. The table had a slight change int the top 7. Chelsea who was expected to come down to the 5th position still got back to the 2nd position after Liverpool dropped points. Aaron Ramsey, Ozil and Giroud have been credited for much of Arsenal's well doing. Its time to bring out the GUN, some pride for Arsenal fans now......... go gunners.
7 STAR MANCHESTER CITY
Costel Pantilimon replaced Joe Hart in goal after frequent silly mistakes from the English stopper and it seems goodluck was behind Costel Pantilimon who had is team score 7 unreplied goals thereby keeping a clean sheet. City's top three strikers all scored a goal each. My guess will be that City will still keep Hart on the bench, what a pity, England doesn't like this oooooh

CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL 1ST LEG: ORLANDO DRAW AL AHLY
AL Ahly's Mohamed Aboutrika once again did the damage against Orlando Pirates shooting in a fantastic free kick. The Egyptians had there shoulders high before Thabo Matlaba's additional time goal gave hope to the Buccaneers. It will definately be tough for them to win in Cairo.
MOURINHO UNHAPPY AFTER DEFEAT
Chelsea's performance against Newcastle on Saturday evening was below expectation. When asked if he picked the right players for the match read what he said "I made eleven mistakes. I should have picked the other eleven rather than this one! That is the feeling I have when my team has played so badly. Hmmmm humble Mourinho, i can see some furious Chelsea fans, well you loose atimes but 20/30 for Chelsea is definately a bad start and the awful look on Mourinho' face when the second goal was scored is an issue for another day.

JOKER: INZAGHI SAYS CR7 AND MESSI CAN'T BETTER IS RECORD
Former AC Milan striker and legend Filipo Inzaghi expressed is views about is goal scoring records especially in year 2007. Read what he said - Carlo Ancelotti was uncertain whether or not to play me or Alberto Gilardino in the Athens final, but I played and scored twice, then I scored in the Super Cup final win over Sevilla and another two against Boca Juniors. Five goals in three finals, which were three of the most important finals and we won all of them. Not even Messi or Ronaldo will achieve that. It's a record I will hang on to. This must be a real big joke.
