Ex-Super Eagles Star Bartholomew Ogbeche Signs For Willem II Tilburg

Ogbeche might appear old with Nigerian fans but the couple of goals the ex international has scored in recent times has helped the former Super Eagles star seal another move to a dutch side.

Ex-Nigeria international striker Bartholomew Ogbeche has joined Willem II Tilburg from another Dutch club on a two and a half year contract.

The contract will be official after a routine medical and it also has an option for an additional year.

Free scoring Ogbeche has become the hero of his team Cambuur in recent matches as the Nigerian has been scoring the goals which have become crucial to the struggling side.

Nigeria striker Bartholomew Ogbeche was again the hero of his struggling Dutch Eredivisie team Cambuur on Sunday when he scored twice to secure a 4-1 win at Excelsior.

The 31-year-old striker has now scored nine goals in 14 league games this season.

Former Super Eagles striker Bartholomew Ogbeche hit the brace for SC Cambuur in their Eredivisie game against NEC Nijmegen on Saturday as they cruised to a 3-1 win in the league.

The 31-year-old forward scored a goal in each half at the Cambuur Stadion in a contest that ebbed and flowed.

Ogbeche's first attempt at goal came in the 17th minute when he fired right-footed from outside of the box into the top centre of goal. His effort forced a save off NEC goalkeeper Marco van Duin.

SC Cambuur 1-1 AZ Alkmaar: Ogbeche Scores Late Equalizer

Bartholomew Ogbeche kept up his goalscoring form for Dutch Eredivisie side, SC Cambuur, as his goal on Saturday saved them from losing at home to AZ Alkmaar.

The Nigerian forward scored in the 72nd minute to cancel out AZ Alkmaar's one-goal lead from Vincent Janssen's first half strike. Ogbeche proved a handful for the defence of AZ from the start as he drew them into forced fouls in the opening 10 minutes.

In the 17th minute, Ogbeche rose highest to head from close range but AZ goalkeeper Gino Coutinho saved.

Nigerian striker, Bartholomew Ogbeche scored twice for Cambuur in the Eredivisie on a weekend when not many Nigerians hogged the headlines for goalscoring performances in Europe. Abduljeleel Ajagun and Fred Friday were the other goalscorers in Greece and Norway respectively.

The striker’s brace helped Cambuur claim a point in the 3-3 draw with Utrecht at Stadion Galgenwaard.

KNVB Cup: Bartholomew Ogbeche Fires Cambuur Stadion To Victory

Nigeria’s Bartholomew Ogbeche was on target in his side’s 2-0 win against SVV Scheveningen in the KNVB Cup on Wednesday night at Cambuur Stadion. Ogbeche got his side’s curtain raiser in the 105th(second extra time) of the Dutch national football knockout championship before Bob Schepers sealed the win for the topflight side in the 120th minute.

The third division outfit had entered the game with the intention of causing an upset against the huge favourites but their major undoing was poor finishing as they wasted glorious chances to have scored at least three goals before regulation time.

Ogbeche Scores First Goal For His New Dutch Club

Former Nigeria international, Bartholomew Ogbeche, scored a goal and made another as his new club, Cambuur beat SC Heerenveen 3-1 in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday.

The 29-year-old striker was lively from the start, setting up the first goal for Elvis Manu in the fourth minute.
Ogbeche doubled the lead a minute to the break after latching on to Marcel Ritzmaier's through ball.

Jody Lukoki made the match safe for Cambuur with the third goal on 69 minutes. Alfred Finnbogason scored a late consolation for Heerenveen, who had Nigerian-born former Hungary youth international Kenny Otigba on the bench.
