Arsene Wenger claims he will take full responsibility if Arsenal don’t win the Premier League title this season. The Gunners are just one point off leaders Chelsea in the table but have lost 5-1 to Liverpool and drawn 0-0 with Manchester United in their previous two matches. The north London side will be seeking revenge for the Anfield humbling as they take on the Reds again, in the FA Cup this time, at the Emirates on Sunday. And Wenger insists his charges are full focussed on a title push, with just 12 matches left of the season.
“If you declare you are not in the race then you cannot lose it,” the Frenchman said. “It’s as simple as that.
“Our job is to be ambitious and try to win [the Premier League]. If we do not win then we take full responsibility for that.
“We are in the title race. We’ll have a go and give it everything. If we don’t win it I will take full responsibility.”
