Manchester United Eyeing Morata Bid

Álvaro Morata is not short of admirers. The latest club to show an interest in the striker is Manchester United, who are expected to make an offer at the end of the season.

The Madrid forward's reputation precedes him in the Premier League and David Moyes's team is the latest to jump on the bandwagon, given both Arsenal and Tottenham made serious efforts to sign Morata in June of last year.

Real Madrid are well aware of the level of interest and realise the player might leave the club in the summer. Nevertheless, the first priority remains to try and meet Morata's wishes and, wherever possible, grant him more playing time and the opportunity to take on a more important role in the team.

In the last few weeks, the British press has been reporting that Arsenal are considering putting a 30 million offer on the table, although the fact is that all these teams are trying to lower the asking price as much as they can.

Morata's contract with Real Madrid ends in June, 2015 and this is a big advantage for those clubs interested in negotiating a transfer deal. Financially, the strongest contender is Manchester United and the general assumption at Real is that the best offer will come out of Old Trafford. But it will be up to the player himself to make the first move when deciding his future.
